Moving slowly forward…

posted in: Grants, HLF, Repair work 0

Things have been moving a little slower over this holiday period, but nevertheless, we’re still carrying on. Surveys have been completed on the windows, stonework, drainage and asbestos, and the tender documents have been sent out following HLF/Historic England’s approval. Applications for planning and listed building consents have also been submitted.

We have also had approval for the windows to be temporarily fitted with polycarbonate, to be started asap. This will improve security, increase light and look alot better than all those boards!

Work is now underway on the second round application form which needs a lot of supporting documentation too.

We are still keen to hear from local groups who may be interested in using the Church in the future, and anyone who wants to get involved as a volunteer etc. We will be posting a survey soon to see which areas of interest are most popular, and give you the opportunity to have your say on what events/groups you would like to attend/join in.

Thanks for your continuing support!
