Where we’re up to…

posted in: Archive, Community use, HLF 0

The phase 3 application process with the Heritage Lottery Fund is now ongoing, and will include further restoration to the fabric of the building, and works to the interior to enable local community/faith groups to use the building. This should include refurbishment of a kitchen area, toilets, and other rooms in the basement, which should be fully accessible. The estimated completion date for works is not until November 2018, but if you know of any community/faith group which may be interested in using the building, we’d be very keen to hear from you so we can plan ahead.

Part of the project will include the formation of an archive of photographs/memories/memorabilia associated with the church. This material will be collected over the next few years, and then hopefully digitised/made more readily available to the public in the following phase of funding. Contributions to the archive would be gratefully accepted – please email wycliffechurch@outlook.com or use the contact page.
